A recent study conducted by physicians at Johns Hopkins University, the University of Maryland and the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center has shown that walking on treadmills 3x per week is beneficial to stroke survivors by assisting in the rewiring of their brains.

The average enhancement to walking speed was five fold greater than those patients receiving only stretching therapies during a four year period.

Numerous studies have shown that walking will assist in stroke prevention and rehabilitation as well. Treadmill desks allow individuals to gain the necessary amount of exercise their brain and body needs while they are at work.
