Employers: Another Reason to Get Employees Moving: Anemia

Researchers at McMaster University have discovered yet another reason employers should encourage employees to keep moving during the day.

Low level exercise, such as walking, triggers particular stem cells to develop as bone cells rather than fat cells increasing the body’s ability to manufacture blood. Conversely, sitting in cubicles may put employees on a fast track to anemia and further deteriorating health conditions.
