I LOVE IT. I WILL SAY IT AGAIN - I LOVE IT! TrekDesk has me moving! I heard about TrekDesk from a friend, and finally decided to buy one. I am a photographer and when not out shooting, spend long hours and days hunched over my computer. Some days by the time I am done my shoulders and back are an absolute mess. It is also very hard to find time or motivation to work out, because with a young family as well my schedule is anything but routine and it's so easy to not have time to exercise. Days, weeks and months can go by with good intentions, but no regular exercise. Upon assembling, the TrekDesk is made of pretty sturdy materials. It was relatively easy to put together, but much easier with two people instead of one. It's not attractive in any way shape or form, but I guess that is to be expected. I love it. I'll say it again, I love it. I've been using it for about a month, and when I first started on it I couldn't talk on the phone or anything while using it (even at 2.0 mph) because my breathing would increase and it sounded I'm sure like I was out of breath and running. Now, however, I can walk at about 2.5 mph while doing general computer work, and can talk on the phone while walking at around 2.0 mph. I will increase the incline on my treadmill on and off throughout the day. The best things about using it are: 1. Even with just a few weeks I am walking about 15 miles a week on it. That's 15 miles a week that I definitely would not be walking any other time. 2. I feel so much better at the end of the day. 3. I am not a good sitter and my mind wanders constantly when in meetings and when doing tasks that don't captivate me or that I don't enjoy. Keeping my feet moving while I am doing some of these things on the computer actually seems to keep me more focused. 4. I don't even realize how far I've walked, and if I were out walking on the pavement, I'd be so aware of that and bored because of it. 5. I can hop on and off the treadmill all day long, which I do. The TrekDesk is very sturdy - so much so that I have a 27" mac sitting on top of it, and it has plenty of room for other things on the desk as well. 6. As my stamina has increased and I'm feeling better, I've noticed that I am also more able / interested in physical activity outside of the TrekDesk as well. I would highly recommend it, especially if you need more movement in your life but can't seem to find the time to exercise. It is nothing but a win / win!
